First Bike - Bonneville or Street Triple?
The title pretty much says it. I’m looking to get my first bike probably this weekend or early next week - I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED. I’m just torn between what I should get. I’ll be purchasing used from marketplace so the options come and go but there are a couple I’m really looking for. Either a Triumph Bonneville or Street Triple (675R).
What I really want from a bike is:
- Fun time
- Ability to take it on trips
- Looks cool af
Now I know that’s pretty much every motorcycle hahaha but in terms of looks I’ve always loved Triumph‘s line – especially the Bonnevilles. The reason I’m contemplating the Triple is because I think I’d have a little more fun on the day to day with the torque and the flickability of it.
On the flip side I do love to take road trips and I assume the ergonomics of the Bonneville would be more comfortable? Although I have also read that folks have ridden triples long distance.
Anyways, just wanted to hear yall‘s thoughts on the two bikes! Thanks!
Note: I have a decent amount of prior riding experience so I’m not really worried about getting too much power in the 675R
