As title says, a friend dropped my bike while learning how to ride. He is okay, but I unfortunately have some repairs I need to make. One thing I dont know what is wrong is this weird whirring noise the engine is making while running that it wasn't doing before. 1997 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100. Any help is appreciated.
So im trying to be good about learning how to do as much maintenence on my bike as possible, and most of the stuff is pretty easy to just google and watch a how to video if needed. However with this, i can find very little online, so I just wanted to ask how you guys did it and a couple questions I have. Its a 1997 1100 spirit.
Do I have to take off the fuel tank or is just turning the fuel line off fine?
When the excess fuel in the line drains out into a pan or whatever, how should I dispose of it?
Is it okay to try and start the bike after I turn the fuel back on even with no fuel in the lines?
