2024 honda shadow aero with abs got really lucky it was a left over in a showroom with no miles and not even the battery wasn’t over put in either.

Just got this bike 1999 VT 600 and have been trying to get it running so far I have removed the carbs and cleaned them ( they were pretty corroded in the brass parts ) after attempting to start the AUto fuel petcock began leaking gas all over the bike so I deleted it and ran a line and filter direct to the carb , and plugged the vacuum line hole in the rear cylinder with a M5 screw 6mm long with a copper crush washer , it starts under full choke and idles I'm not sure but this seems like dangerously low idle to me ? It also dies as soon as you touch the throttle ? Idle screw set to 2.5 turns out further turns do nothing to increase idle speed please help !

This winter, I’m building a yolk to mount to my 88 VT1100C that will allow for towing. The question I have is what’s the upper limit for weight that she can safely and effectively tow? What’s the absolute max she can pull? I can’t find anything in the FSM about towing, probably since Honda never thought that 38 years later, some redneck would want to tow a trailer with a Shadow.

I lost my dad in August, and we just got his bike out of storage. I had a few questions if you could help me out. First, what model/generation is it? The fenders, tank and speedo, and handlebars are throwing me off.
Second, what am I missing underneath the seat besides the fairing? I see a buckle but nothing else. I was thinking battery, but all the teardown videos I watch show the battery on the other side.
Last, am I missing the air filter?
