Hello, as the title says, I am considering buying a Prius as a replacement for my current vehicle. I don't really know much abiut them, besides them being fairly reliable Hybrids. So, I just have a few questions, I live in northern Michigan, and our winters are fairly harsh with high winds, many many feet of snow at a time, temperatures well below freezing, sometimes getting down below zero for weeks at a time. People have told me to avoid hybrids because the batteries would suffer in the cold.

So, my questions are:

  1. How well does the Prius handle in blizzard conditions?

  2. How well does the Prius fair in sub-zero temperatures?

  3. Are there any particular years / or trim models to avoid?
