I recently got a Synch ii, and I’m sure I’m in the minority here and perhaps just extremely unlucky, but I actually just want to return mine at this point.

Purchased mine from WLL a month ago. It came and had nothing but issues. It arrived with the flow control stem leaking (easy fix), but then it started having overfilling issues and water started spraying out of the top due to the pressure going over 3 bar in the steam boiler. They ended up having me send that machine back and sent me a new one about a week ago.

The new one arrived with a loud metal-on-metal rattle, so I had to take the panels off and found that two copper pipes were touching and rattling when the pump turned on. Again, easy fix, but should such an expensive machine require the user to disassemble it upon delivery to make it work right?

It also arrived with a small dent in the lever mechanism and the ECM bottomless Portafilter I purchased separately oddly doesn’t fit (it jams up immediately even though it fit fine in the first machine).

Thought that was the end of my frustration, but now today the brew lever started squeaking pretty loud and feels stiff/rough. I know this is also an easy fix (most likely just lube and/or replacing the cam if it’s worn), but the machine is like a week old!

Am I crazy or justified in expecting more out of a branch new $3500 purchase?
