Hey guys I’m one of the founders of sperm racing, and it’s exactly as it sounds: two sperm samples are placed on a microscopic racetrack, and the race is filmed/visualized as a competition. The goal is to use entertainment to get more men to care about fertility testing, sperm quality, and reproductive health.
Our idea is to create a format where competitors with different lifestyles and health strategies are profiled, then their samples are tested and visualized through a live “race.” The entertainment is meant to be the hook, but the deeper goal is to make young men more willing to talk about male fertility, get tested, and take their health seriously.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback from this community:
- Would you personally watch something like this, or recommend it to a friend/male partner?
- And if not, what would you want to see? And what would be your concerns?
- Do you see yourself watching something like this as a recurring concept (like other sports), or just once to fill in the initial curiosity?
- What would we need to avoid saying or doing to make sure this does not trivialize infertility and your experiences?
- Are there specific misconceptions about male fertility you wish more men understood?
- Would something like this help raise awareness around male fertility, or would it feel insensitive?
Thanks in advance.
