Limping Chonk Cat

* Species: Cat

* Age: Almost 2

* Sex/Neuter status: Female Spayed

* Breed: Cattus Chonkus

* Body weight: 15+?

* History: No health problems besides obesity

* Clinical signs: Limping, pain, and hissing

* Duration: 3 days

* Your general location: Maryland USA

Our cat has been limping for a few days. She is extra grouchy. She has been hissing and growling at us and at herself(???) She attacked our super sweet male cat for seemingly no reason even though they usually cuddle and clean each other. She can still jump up onto our bed and couch with some difficulty. Seems like her back right paw/leg.

We took her to the vet today, and they gave us steroids. An x-ray with sedation would be almost a thousand dollars. If her leg was actually broken, she wouldn't be able to walk or jump at all, right? She is still eating and drinking.
