Anyone had any luck connecting to snes mini with the sn30 pro through a retro receiver?

Controller will connect, but has no input to the screen

Firmware up to date and tried older versions

Tried all the different connection modes

No help on 8bitdo site faq

I see that folks have had issues with this back several years, hoping someone found a solution.
