From reading the threads I have learned you can bid out to different towers after 2 years of qualification (subject to seniority and operational needs). Bidding down can only happen after 6 years of qualification.

What rule exists if a VFR employee wants to bid to IFR?
If they are successful, how does that work? I’m assuming you need to qualify at the ACC. Do you retain your current VFR salary during? What happens if you fail?

Lastly (unrelated) - is YOW sought after tower?

Was hoping somebody could private msg me (to avoid exposing yourself to an influx of dm’s from others). As a prospective mtl IFR trainee, I have some questions regarding your job, the environment, and more.

Oddly specific I know. Based on my research, controlled GERD is a non disqualifier (generally). Was just wondering if somebody has went through disclosing it in their CAT2 and what the result was.

I will be disclosing. I just want to set expectations.

Just passed the FEAST tests today. Assuming I passed today’s pre-screen interview as well and I get invited to the official interview - does anybody know if I have the option to take it in English? Today’s pre-screening was 2/3 in French and while I am fluent, I don’t love doing interviews in French.

More specifically: by now everybody is aware you make mad bank at these towers due to ATC Level and Premium. That said, do you ever think about / wish taking a pay cut and working at a calmer tower?

I bought the platform, as a dad making a career change I’m preparing diligently. That said the “hard” and “test” difficulties in this platform are WAY harder than the eurocontrol practices NAV sends us. Has anybody used this? Was it helpful? And is FEAST going to be this hard?

Any insight is appreciated. Just don’t know if it’s even worth using.

And I know some of you will say you either have it or you don’t, etc etc etc. I respectfully have to disagree with that premise and I have my reasons for that.
