Identification/aging?

Found this hiking in the san bernardino national forest, next to what looked like an old cabin that burnt in a wild fire. Any ideas on its age? It only has one other marking on the bottom which was just a straight vertical line, or possibly a 1. The cork is what gets me thinking of it being old.

Advice artist 2 artist.

Been Tattooing for 13 years. Can do *almost* any style with minor disregard for the rules. Specialize in new school color, and black and Grey bioorganic work.

Im reaching a tough point in my life where I hate coming to work, because the only tattoos I do are little Pinterest fine line bangers. Most dont age well, I hate tattooing them, and sometimes even the customers are annoying. If im not doing that, im doing big repetitive stuff I dont even specialize in because I need money.

I hate social media, content creation, video editing, algorithms, all that nonsense. I just want to do cool tattoos again. The simple life.

I even went as far as going to school for another skilled trade and will be graduated soon. I even learned a new form of painting and fell in love with it. But no one buys them.

How do you all pull yourselves back into the trade when you get stuck in a fog. How do you push through and commit when your soul is no longer uplifted by the art?

Final labs of our first blueprint course.

Our final lab of the first blueprinting course.

Teacher mentioned it had to be a custom blueprint

Similar to our previous structural blueprints, but weld locations and size could be different.

Please forgive the awful welds, we had multiple processes running and I believe this was TIG mix on MIG wire.

New here. My paintings over the last year. Enjoy.

Sorry for glares. It's hard to get pictures of the actual tones and hues, while still in frames. Pictures are in order from first painting, to most recent. Enjoy!

Paintings are made with Arches paper, coffee, microns, Dr. PH Martins watercolor concentrates, and white gel pen for highlights.

Nearing the end of my tig course here in school. Final labs on Thursday. Will be 2F single pass stainless, and aluminum.

I think I can handle it now, although I'll admit my consistency could be better, and it's quite different going from aluminum to stainless.

How do you all manage your ends of your welds without burning it out? I can for the most part stop and restart without issue, but I always burnout the ends of my welds. Maybe it's just the lack of material to absorb the final heat?

Next up is pipe, and I'm shaking in my boots.

I think this might be my jam n toast when I graduate. I love this. Weirdly I find it easier than mild steel.

Sorry for the far away picture, it's a 10" weld.
