Is it just me? Re: tarot subs

This is probably a controversial opinion, but I think Tarot sub mods need to know the outcome on the Reddit end user of the massive rule changes recently implemented in the last couple months on their subs.

I have been reading tarot for literally 40 years. Check my account and my posts, comments and karma I have been highly active for a while. I am a member of over a dozen tarot subreddits, and before the changes, I could often help less experienced readers with their posted spreads. Admittedly, many came without interpretation but to me that was okay. OPs and others reached out me with positive comments and questions, and we often had good conversations where I feel like I helped at least a little with others’ tarot knowledge and experience.

Since the rule changes, these posts went from common to scarce. I visit Reddit tarot subs and reply to posts specifically to provide interpretation help in the comments (although a handful of times I have dabbled in free and paid reading posts). Mostly all that makes it now to my general and Latest feeds are advertisements. There has been no upswing in quality content like discussions, new spreads and so on that I feel the rule changes were meant to encourage.

What happened? I am sad that this went away because the newbies often sparked innovation in interpretation, spread sharing and other quality content in the comments.

This is not to call out any mods but simply a description of my experience. Is it just me?

Edit: Someone pointed out that the prevalence of AI use may be partially a reason for lower numbers of interpretation help posts. I had not considered this but it is probably valid. I find it unfortunate because personally I have low trust for AI for things like tarot—human intuition is needed, and AI algorithms are no replacement for a live reader.
