Heat exhaustion after 2hr wait for Steel Vengeance
The que estimate was at 45mins when we got in line. The line was moving great and then the ride auto-malfunctioned right as we were next riders on! We waited just over an hour while they worked diligently to get the ride back up. The sun was starting to set and was shining right into the que. I got absolutely fried up there waiting but rode anyways. BEST RIDE OF THE DAY. 🤪
But after getting off I started dry-heaving, sweating profusely, shaking, and was so dizzy. I thought my friends were gonna have to roll me out the park. My husband went to ask a gift shop employee for advice on how to get me help. She immediately offered him a free bottle of water and called first aid services.
First aid took less than 5 minutes to get to me with a cold towel in clutch. I got to ride in their tiny car to the first aid center where they took my vitals and let me chill until I was feeling better. I was in quite a condition when they found me, but they made me feel so safe and like I wasn't a burden. Took me about 40mins in their center to feel better, but I was able to walk out and have dinner with my friends later.
Truly amazing staff and service during our visit. I look forward to returning in the future, maybe on a cooler day for me though. Haha.
