Hello everyone,
I am seeking advise regarding approaching a request to transition from 8 hour shifts to 10 hours.
We are a small company that covers service calls 24/7 (sometimes less than that), we all do shift work.
I am trying to get some talking points about the benefits of moving to a 10 hour rotation(besides the extra time off, less commute) and was wondering if you could provide me some real world example if you happen to go through a similar transition and how did it go? Did you achive what you wanted? What was the reason to such change? How was the employee moral/retaintion?
Any arguments for or against would be welcomed, I am trying to gather as much information before heading into talks.
