There are 4 of us going from August 16–26. Three of us fly into Dubrovnik, then we’ll head to Split to pick up our fourth friend. Our three stops will be Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik, with Dubrovnik being last since that’s where we fly home from.

We’re trying to minimize the time we have a rental car. Would it make more sense to go to Hvar first for a few days, then rent a car once we’re back in Split? Or is it worth having a car the whole time?

Also, how would you split the days between Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik? We’re looking to do some day trips from either Dubrovnik or Split.
