Asthma attack or Vocal cord dysfunction
How do you tell if it’s asthma or VCD attack? I am so confused. What exercises do you like for VCD?

I had my first recognized asthma attack and used albuterol for the first time. Diagnosed at beginning of the year and had been doing well. My symptoms are usually after eating I have to clear my throat and then get short of breath but this time I couldn’t breath, it was bad. I thought it was a panic attack at first but then realized when my hubby ask what he could do that I couldn’t talk. I have always had panic attacks so hard to tell the difference but this time I recognized and used my rescue inhaler. I had to relax and ride the shaky train for a bit. I am trying to figure out what made this so much worse this time and there are a couple things: 1. I had not taken my acid reducer. 2. What I ate had dairy. While I am not allergic to it I know it can still increase mucus and I have noticed it does with me. 3. My highest allergen is grass and it is moderately high. I am thinking all these things contributed to my attack (asthma and panic as the panic just piggybacked right on top) what do y’all think?
How much of a stickler are you all with using your maintenance inhaler in reference to the timing? Example twice a day inhaler use at 7am and 7pm. Do you vary the time and if so by how much? I am new to asthma and it’s really hard to stick to a schedule sometimes. There are times it would be much more convenient at 6:30 in the am and 6in the pm. I guess my other question is, is it ok to have an hour window to use it?
I am new to asthma, diagnosed in March, and using symbicort and it controls my asthma well, my thing is I get some cramps and some muscle twitching in my legs. I think it is the LABA and my dr wanted to switch me to a steroid only powder (acruity) but I don’t want to as I have medication anxiety and feel ok other than the twitching and cramps. What can I do to keep the twitching and cramps at bay? I am doing a banana a day and trying to drink a lot of water. I have just recently gotten body armor electrolyte drink to try but it’s too soon to see if that helps. I have also been stretching. Please any suggestions?
