Free-mo, Legs?

Hiya! currently working on a free-mo HO build and ran into a question. what do i make the legs out of? it doesn't really give you ideas for how to make the legs and I'm not a woodworker by trade, So any ideas on what type of wood I am aware of the height requirement and the adjustable feet.

Please excuse the mess in my basement.

I am currently attempting to make this myself.

I have no prior experience building free-mo.

I am learning. and have a top part built.

G scale switching layout! update!

Update! today I filled the spots with mulch! went for red to break up the colors a bit, My first engine was there for scaling and I made a quickly slapped together Train Station. the track was layed out and fiddled with and my plans for the layout have changed. please excuse the curved track and extra bits hanging over as they're there as place holders once i build my engine shed i'll put it at the end where the curved pile is.

>> this is my first time building a layout / table.

>> please excuse the issues.

>> I am still learning and take all comments in strive haha.

G scale model switching layout, Painted, lanscape fabric.

going forward with my dumb idea. so for right now i put down Landscape fabric and attempted to attach it. ran out of staples and used some of the old pallet nails from when i took the pallet apart. annd painted the sides with wood spray paint. lip stick on a pig? maybe.

>> i know its ugly.

>> again this my first time building a train layout table

>> currently throwing caution to the wind trying new things.

>> I don't often wood work.

G scale, model railroad switching table.

:D so this is the table I've been working on again using scrap I'm about $50 into this build now and I have been working as hard as I can. Please excuse the warped looking table it is flat for the most part. Anywho I've been working on making this G scale switching table and its going rough but I'm fiddling.

>> first time making a train table.

>> first time attempting Gscale.

>> please excuse the shoddy work.

G scale switching layout. Frame work.

Last I posted my idea for a G scale layout and now I'm posting the Frame work. the wood used is random scrap I'm getting for free and i know its not perfect but bare with me.
so so far the pallet removal of the broken boards and or scrap pieces took around an hour, the board fill in pieces are not perfect but meh I'll work on that as i go.

thoughts on the frame so far? this is looking at the bottom where the legs will connect to the frame. top is down.

>> please excuse this is my first time building a layout table.
>> please excuse my cruddy craftsman work. I am not perfect.

G scale layout, switching layout. idea!

Had an idea for a switching layout was wondering if anyone has considered using a pallet for a base, or at least using parts of a pallet to make a layout table themselves. thoughts on the idea? the one i snagged is a 2'5" x 5' pallet, was able to grab some other scrap would to modify it and the plan is to transfer it via truck from show to show. I plan on running dead rail with rc trains, but having the ability to hook up to another display. posted above is a rough draft. its not finalized but its a start.

>> First time attempting this.
>> First time building my own table/layout.
>> No idea if this will work. just ideas.
