Has anyone ever accidentally Zelle a stranger money? If so, what was the outcome?
My son accidentally sold $400 that was meant for me to my old cell phone number-leaving me in a tough financial position as that money is meant for bills every month. I try to file a dispute with Chase, but they denied my claim. I reached out to the recipient and at first he said that he would return the money as soon as it posts to his account and then the next day he changed his mind stating that if it was a true accident for my son to file a dispute with the bank and he’ll get his money back and that the money will stay in his account untouched. I don’t know what else to do. Does anybody have any advice as to what I can do?
