How Got To Get Chase Banking Relationship Restored and Have Late Payments Removed?

I posted something similar to this earlier but it was nothing but babble so I had to delete it and now I’m posting the updated version.

Hello everyone, this might be a bit of a long story, but I’m hoping someone here has dealt with something similar and can give me some advice.
For a while, I was homeless and living out of my car with my mom. I lost my job, and the backup money I had in crypto got completely tied up in Coinbase compliance. At the same time, I was helping take care of my mom and trying to keep up with her bills, so financially we were both in a really difficult position.

During that period, I had a Chase checking account and a Chase credit card. Honestly, I loved banking with Chase and had a really good relationship with them before everything went downhill. I used my checking account regularly, and I really liked my Chase credit card as well.
Eventually, Chase closed my checking account and told me they were ending their banking relationship with me because of claims made. At the time, I was completely broke and didn't have much money coming in, so I wasn't really in a position to fight it or understand what options I had. I also had no cash coming in for a while, which made everything even harder.

On top of that, I fell behind on my Chase credit card payments. I ended up with about six late payments showing on my credit history. I know that's obviously a serious negative mark, and I'm not trying to pretend that I didn't miss the payments. I was going through a genuinely terrible financial situation at the time, and I simply didn't have the money to keep everything current.
The good news is that my situation has completely changed since then. I'm employed again, my finances are stable, I've regained access to my funds, and I'm getting back on track credit wise. I also have a substantial amount of money available now, including funds from previous investments, new investments in the stock market, and my current employment income (totaling over 7 figures). I'm basically in a completely different financial position than I was when those late payments happened.

Because of that, I'd really like to rebuild my relationship with Chase if that's even possible.
I've already tried reaching out to basically everyone I could think of. I've contacted Chase customer service, escalated the issue, and even tried reaching out to the executive office (contacted them so many times they told me they would not respond anymore). I even contacted the Chief Of Staff office hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction, but I haven't gotten anywhere (in fact her secretary had the Chase executive office make a point to tell me to never call her office again, and I only called twice). At this point, I'm not sure what else I can realistically do.

Also, I was informed by someone that I should open a investment account at Chase transfer funds in that account, and then reach out to someone in the Private Client/Private Bank division and they would be willing to fight on my behalf to get them to allow me to open accounts. Don’t how try it is but surely someone can confirm this.

The biggest thing I'm trying to figure out is whether there's any legitimate way to have those six late payments removed.
I'm not asking Chase to erase something that never happened. I understand that the payments were late, and I'm taking responsibility for that. What I'm hoping for is some type of goodwill adjustment or courtesy removal based on the circumstances surrounding the missed payments.

I'm also wondering whether anyone has
successfully gotten multiple late payments removed through Chase after experiencing a temporary financial hardship. If so, what approach worked for you? Did you contact the credit-card department directly, the executive office, or someone else? Did you submit documentation showing that the hardship was temporary and that your finances have since recovered?

My long-term goal isn't just to clean up my credit report. I genuinely want to get back to having a normal banking relationship with Chase. I had a checking account and credit card with them before all of this happened, and I'd really like the opportunity to eventually bank with them again.
Is Chase likely to permanently consider me ineligible for banking services because they previously ended the relationship? Because currently I qualify for JP Morgan Private Client, and I would love the opportunity to join them.

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to figure out what options I have now that my financial situation is stable again.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post. I'm just pretty frustrated after everything I've already tried.

Chase Lending Relationship Discount not being honored

I just came here to rant about Chase Lending and see if anyone has any advice. I am scheduled to close in less than 48 hours and Chase has still not honored the relationship pricing discount they advertise. I specifically went with them and moved over a substantial amount of assets to qualify for this discount.

The last update I heard was 2 days ago the “Relationship Pricing Review Team” wanted to know which account I was paying closing costs and down payment out of (its not Chase account so those assets won’t be touched). I sent it to loan officer along with a statement balance.

Since then nothing. My loan officer has tried escalating to her supervisor. I am pissed off and stressed out. They have all my money! This should literally involve someone looking at my account and checking a box. It’s some internal team so there is nobody I can speak to directly. I feel like it’s been a horrible experience and I have no recourse.

Is it appropriate to ask my Chase banker to help with credit card identity verification?

I recently applied for a Chase Business credit card, and the application is currently stuck at identity verification.

I’m temporarily outside the U.S., so I explained to the Business Card team that I can’t visit a branch in person right now. The representative told me that I could have any Chase banker call their department to assist with the verification.

I still have the contact information for the banker who helped me open my Chase business checking account last year.

Would it be appropriate to email him and ask if he can help with this? I don’t want to put him in an awkward position or ask him to do something outside of a banker’s normal responsibilities.

To be clear, I’m not asking him to reconsider or approve the application, customer services specifically told me that a banker could contact them to assist with the identity verification.

Has anyone had a Chase banker help with a credit card verification issue like this, especially while you were outside the U.S.? What does the banker actually have to do?

Chase locked my account

I’ve had an external account linked with Chase since 2020. They decided over the weekend that they couldn’t verify it was my account so they locked my entire Chase account 😅

Paying in advance to buy plane tickets

Hi! I just wanna ask if anyone here has already experienced paying in advance on their credit card to pay for a plane ticket?

For context i will be paying for me and my brother's plane ticket on Chase Travel and I would like to deposit/pay-in-advance my credit card for $5000 because i only have $1.8k credit limit.

I asked a bank teller on Chase and they said that I can do that, but when I called a customer representative on my card (because im dealing with a separate issue), they said that i cannot do it, that it was not possible.

Please help, I dont want to pay using my debit card for a plane ticket.

Amazon Prime Visa

I’ve been banking with chase for over 10 years. I’ve now opened up an Amazon prime visa credit card. I now want to completely close out chase. I assume the credit card would still leave me attached to chase bank though. Should I pay off the balance and close my checking account, or should I pay off the balance and close both? It’s only a year old though. Or can I just close my checking out without paying off the balance first? Just looking for advice on what’s the best route if anyone dealt with similar. Thank you :)

Ab’s doing outbound call

As the title says. Are AB’s not ARB or RB supposed to be doing outbound calls? Don’t want to get to specifics because yk don’t know what are the do and don’t rules. But our boss recently just started making ab’s to do outbound calls for people and it is a little off because I have asked some Ab’s around the branch and they say they aren’t doing it. I know we outbound calls to like confirm meetings or etc but it is different from that. Also the branch has been open for a couple of years already. So it can’t be because it is a new a branch.

Pros and Cons

Has anyone who has Chase currently came from Capital One? I've only had Capital One for less than a month but I am highly debating switching banks due to the lack of customer service I've received. Surely, Chase is probably no different, but was one of the most recognizable banks, I'd think they'd have a somewhat decent customer service department.

Does Chase send you emails for DocuSign?

Hello! I applied for a Chase Freedom Flex card yesterday. I got an email saying,
“We need additional information to complete our review. Please certify your Taxpayer Identification Number by completing the Taxpayer Identification form. You can view what we need and submit the information using DocuSign® by following the instructions below.”

I mean I feel like it’s real because I just applied for it but it just looks phishy.
Did anyone else have to do this?

I wish I could just attach a screenshot but it won’t let me.

Question about deceased parent's chase account. We shared a checking account.

Hello, I have a dillemma and would love some help!

My mom passed away a few months ago and before she did we were going to close her account together, but never got the chance to. We shared a checking account (so i guess I'm a joint account owner) and i do have her death certificate. Would this be enough to close her account and recieve the funds in her savings too?

I did schedule an appointment but i wanted some more insight before going. I'm afraid they'll turn me away and freeze the accounts (even though the checking is mine too).

Edit: i don't have anything like executor or probate to show them. Just that I'm the joint account owner and death certificate.

How long do test deposits take for an external account (brokerage account)

I added my Fidelity account as an external account so that I could push funds from my Chase bank account into Fidelity and on the Chase app. It said that it would make test deposits of less than $.50 in order to make sure that the external account was mine. I added my Fidelity account on Thursday to chase, but I still haven’t seen a test deposit in my Fidelity account as of Tuesday August 18. Has anyone experienced this?

Hello everyone,

So I got Chase and they offer two days early pay depending of course on your employer and all that but I'm see that daily pay messed up your chances on getting your pay two days early and wanted to see if that's true and what's your experience.

Thanks!

Will Chase cash a check if I am not an account holder?

I have a check from Hyundai for $2000. The bank on the check says JP mortgage and Chase Bank. I’m assuming Chase is the same company. What are the rules about cashing a check if you’re not an account holder?

I tried cashing it at Walmart and Kroger, and for some reason was rejected. Some company called Certegy apparently decide who can cash checks at Walmart and Kroger’s. I didn’t get an answer why it was rejected.

I have a credit union, but I’d rather not go there to get it cashed, it’s kind of complicated. Will Chase cash the check what type of procedure is involved? I’m assuming there’s a fee, and I need my ID. Anything else that I would need?

Why would they disable Android phones from using the app?

I'm sure half of you are PR bots or NPCs, I just went to check my balance and the app says that my phone is invalid to use the app. I'm just gonna go change banks tomorrow but what was the point of the update? Was there some sort of deal on phones or something?

ACH credit not there?

On Friday, my school refunded me via ACH deposit/credit at 9:58 AM. It’s almost 5 now on Monday and nothing ever showed up. I tried looking back at old transactions to see what time of day Chase put the money through but they just so dates, not times. It’s never happened on a Friday so I was used to always receiving it the next day but I don’t know what time of day. Is something potentially wrong with the deposit? What time of day is too late for anything to show up or could it show up at any time this evening?

Chase says I'm "preapproved" for the Freedom Unlimited. Should I apply now or wait?

I have a Chase Freedom Rise, opened ~4 months ago. It's my first and only credit card. If I keep up with my payments, it's on track to auto change to a Freedom Unlimited next year.

But recently, Chase started sending me preapproved offers... for the Freedom Unlimited. They've emailed me, and on the app it says I'm "already approved". 🤔 So now I'm wondering if it makes sense to get it earlier than expected.

(I've seen people report that they were able to successfully product change their Rise, so if I got approved for the Unlimited, my plan is to eventually ask Chase to product change my Rise too, assuming they'll let me. That way I'd still have a use for both cards.)

The only thing making me pause is that they're giving me this offer when my credit profile is still so thin. I get the feeling that "preapproved" doesn't actually guarantee anything. Is that right? I don't want to take a hard inquiry hit if there's still a big chance I'll be denied.

What do you think? Would you apply, or would you still wait?

Associate banker

I start my job as an associate banker tomorrow (30 hours) and was just wondering how training works. I was hired a little unconventionally, and there was a bunch of miscommunication (e.g., the wrong branch/manager on my offer letter, and I was only informed 5 days before I started that I’m at an entirely different branch). Just wondering how TRAINING hours work specifically because I’ve seen conflicting hours like 9am-3 pm or the full 9-5. I know it’s fully based on my market, but just looking for some experiences if training is 40 hours then 30 hour transition. (I was told to report at 9 am or 9:30 tomorrow).
