System language not in English.

So, new to Linux. Was trying to set system locale to Japanese so I could play some retro games. (I later figured out Lutris has a native app locale-like function that handled this perfectly.)

Now I have an issue where a lot of system messages like Bazaar and Disk Management are in Japanese. I'm not proficient enough with the language yet to use Japanese like this, but changing system language settings back to all default hasn't fixed it.

I did this to my locale months ago and can't remember how I did it to reverse it. How do I get the text to display in English again?

EDIT: I came back to this issue once I wasn't distracted by being ravenously hungry and a simple restart fixed it.

Semi-New Bazzite user, Japanese text not displayed properly in some games.

New to Linux. Been using Bazzite for a few months, now.

I get various garbled characters instead of the Japanese characters. I've also had a few retro Japanese-only games flip out at me in various ways much harder than they ever did in Windows.

I can't seem to get locale-switching or a Japanese language pack working like I could on Windows? Is there something special I have to do for non-unicode programs?

Soundcore V20i earbuds.

So, I bought V20i I love everything to do with it aside from the sound so far. I'm not an audio person, so I'm not sure how to describe it. It feels like the bass or something is just overpowering everything and most sounds feel really faint or far away. Like its all muffled or I'm hearing it through a wall or with ears full of earwax.

Its actually a problem in playing some games because I can't hear sound cues properly. Which is causing me to miss details or get hit by things I'd normally be able to react to.

Like a hidden rare node might have some high-pitched twinkling sounds, which used to be quite clear on my previous earbuds (Ohayo T10) even from a distance. Now, I stand right next to the mining node and I can barely hear the twinkling at all over the BGM.

The user manual says issues with sound need to be fixed with the equalizer app. Bazzite doesn't seem to have access to the Soundcore equalizer app. I tried OpenSCQ (A Linux version of the Soundcore Equalizer app), but it doesn't support the V20i.

I found a general equalizer app in the MiniEQ, but I've no idea what I'm doing with it as I've never messed with Equalizer settings before. Any help on what I'm doing to fix the sound, or if there's some problem other than equalizer settings?
