Moth influenced castle in Loire Valley

Follow up to Saint Paul de Mausole near Avignon, here is a strongly moth influenced castle in the Loire Valley.

Chaumont was used by Catherine de Médicis as a hunting lodge. She hosted there Nostradamus and Ruggieri, 2 astrologists of which the latter predicted accurately the duration of each of her sons reigns and the fall of her house from power by means of a mirror that showed their faces and turn on itself once for each year in power.

It was later bought by the De Broglie principial family during the Belle Epoque, which hosted extravagant costumes parties which ruined them (strong moth iconography in the pictures related).

Today it hosts a garden international competition and exhibition that need no further commentaries (pictures attached). Beneath the kitchens in the bottom of the building, lie cinders of trees burnt down in Verdin during WW1, silent bells furnished with horse hair and solitary blocks of stones, great heist.

Anyway great visit if you're around!

Found the Haustorium

In Saint Rémy de Provence, Nostradamus city, you can find the Saint Paul of Mausole Monastery. Built in 1086, dedicated to tending to the mad and deranged. It rests in the ruins on a buried Roman colony, which completely disappeared from time, leaving remnants here and there in the country around the hospice.

The monastery famously hosted Van Gogh for 2 years, allowing him to paint its olive tree, medicinal and herbal gardens.

Strong Haustorium vibes in the cloister and the herbal dispensary, as well as in the darker areas.

The whole region is strong in secret histories!
