but once the whole theyfab thing loses steam, it’ll be soooo cunty to use they/them pronouns

they/them pronouns are now equated with an alt-girl hyperfemininity. every theyfab ik is super obsessed with their wombynliness, alt fashion/hairstyles, and extravagant makeup. it’s like being more woman than other women. you reject the sneedy “woman” label to make yourself your own kind of woman+. and they get to feel so self-righteous about it, like “im one of the good ones! i’m totally a minority too! power to the people!,” make everyone do pronoun circles as some kind of activist ritual. and their boyfriends with mustaches have no problem with her occasional “we’re kinda queer” comments, because it’s obviously not “gay.”
give it like 10-15 years, maybe even sooner, and using they/them will be a throwback serve.
