Nota bene: the video is sped up x2, not the game. I know I made numerous mistakes and you can do better. No, I can't upload the video to youtube.
The idea of this build is quite simple: I tried to make a geomancer as aggresive as the game and my skill lets me(skill restrains me more). And so I decided to rely on unusual defence layer - damage resistance.
Vit/Wil with mage gear gives geo almost infinite energy due to runic empowerment, rune of binding + staff skills reduce cooldowns fast enough to utilize this energy and Seal of Reflection+Stone Armor saves me from anybody who gets too close or strikes from afar.
AP allocation pretty much follows meta geo and can be switched to pure caster with little effort.
And now I have a question, what t5 should I post for a final showcase and should it be a 2nd floor clear or only boss fight(if I don't die in a dumbest way possible that is)
I completely forgot I have smokes and went for really stupid kiting which somehow paid off. Being dumb as a mage is not the same as being dumb as melee, saying it from painful experience.
Since RtR we got all sorts of extra inventory space. But I do remember the pain of 2 loot runs with an actual junk to pay for heavy armor repairs. Devs improved the game so much over the years.
Holy shit, I needed it so much. Normally I wouldn't be so hyped about a book, but permadeath truly sharpens my emotions.
I thought one can buy either barrels or grain, but not both. And not a single soul has ever told me that, I just assumed it for reasons unknown. But the Host be praised, I am running a super late geo+staff build on perma thus I sided with kromm and now I know the ultimate truth.
Can't wait for the ancient echoes, so I decided to spice up my new staff+geo playthrough
CAUTION: for the love of God don't try this thing exactly in permadeath. You will suffer for sure.
Initially the idea was inspired by Beesechurger and his Sir Nikkaf, but I used rest mode instead of nikkaf+elven mud as I don't like drug VFX and thought I could use some break from time to time.
Somewhere here I heard that dw maces are so OP you don't need a brain to clear all content(mind it was a year ago), so I decided to make an actual braindead Jorgrim - he doesn't sleep and he doesn't need helm to protect his head thus only wearing crimson headband.
And it worked until it didn't. I hit the wall on t5s as enemies here have a plethora of ways to disturb ability cycle by forced cooldowns. And without well-timed WtS I was as good as dead - this build can withstand 500 damage but all the injuries just turn you into a punching bag. So I decided to take a break from the game and farm from lvl24 to 30 when I feel like it.
Thus a whole year passed. As you can see, I forfeited the idea of crimson headband in t5s. I mean, the armor penetration is crazy - I once got a maimed torso from one critical reign of blood, but without armor they do it EVERY SINGLE TIME. But at least now I did all of them distants, even if by a great stroke of luck. I found the codex artifact just before I went to necropolis and the boss was a wraith so I had hit him hard with extra sacred damage(I failed 1 time when I forgot to bring it). The chapel's boss was a t4 wormbearer, but since I swooped 2 floors without a flinch with all brand new cherubs and templars I will boast about clearing t5 vamps okay. In the gray falcon I was meeted by a most hated 2h sword robber baron. With a hornet honey buff he would have massacred me, but it's just so happened that I had a potion of DRUNKENESS. TAKE THAT, FILTH.
After all, I want to say many thanks to devs for making blood omens save-compatible. If you have questions about gear or skill choices, well I don't have answers, Things were rebalanced here and there and I didn't put much thought in the first place.
P.S. there is 2 points in self-repair and hard target
Don't look at the noble armor numbers, it's just old. Also I find it strange that no one is writing down this in wiki
Just stumbled across the codex and found it out
I don't get it what penalties I have from darkness apart from decreased vision. Does sanity suffer from it? Maybe there is a hidden accuracy debuff? Do dwarves and elves have a different approach? Couldn't find anything in the wiki.
