Bought a Sony SL-S600 today and it ate a tape. Help!

I’ve been wanting a Beta player for a long time and I was able to get this for $60 today AS IS. I knew I was taking a risk and I feel like I can fix this like I did with my laserdisc player when I bought that. Take a look at the video and see what you think. This is me pressing the eject button around 3 times. No video. Just a blue screen. Also I’m hearing static from the audio. Thanks in advance for any help! Much appreciated!!

If you're going to see The Odyssey this weekend...

make sure you go see it at The Regal in Christiansburg in their RPX theater. It's the best way to see it without driving 2 hours to CVille to see it in IMAX. They finally fixed that one damn light in the RPX theater that wouldn't go off so now it's 100% perfectly dark in there. The Odyssey fills the huge RPX screen completely plus you have the seat shakers rumbling under your ass for added effect. It's big, it's loud and you feel it! Fantastic movie. It's an epic event. Don't miss out.

Do all DJ's broadcast from the Sirius/XM HQ in NYC?

I'd like to send some pictures to be autographed to the original MTV VJ's on 80's on 8 and Roxanne Shante on Rock the Bells. I'm pretty sure Roxanne broadcasts from there. But does Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, Nina Blackwood and Downtown Julie Brown do their voiceovers from there too?

A couple times recently my gas has gotten low to the 25 miles left on the range and then it disappears to just --- ---. Why is that? Is it made to not go below 25 miles? Obviously I need gas but not seeing it go down to even 5 miles left makes me nervous. How accurate is the range when it's around 25 miles left?
