Catalytic converter Replacement 2022 Nissan rogue SV AWD

Just like the title says I took my rogue in as it had a check engine light turn on. Took it to a local mechanic but he told me to try and get it done at the dealership with warranty. I’m currently 1k miles over it and the dealership quoted me 5700 for the above items and labor. Is this the going rate for cat replacements now?

2 antennas

Facelift SL with 2 antennas. I confirmed this vehicle isn’t equipped with ProPilot 2.1, any ideas why this rogue has 2 antennas?

Newly gone Rouge!

After weeks of overthinking SUVs, reliability threads, dealership pricing, AWD vs FWD debates, and slowly losing my sanity browsing AutoTrader...

I finally bought a 2021 Rogue SV with ~30k km. Paid around C$26k for it!

Clean Carfax, dealer maintained, negotiated it down a bit, and honestly just decided to stop chasing the “perfect deal.”

I originally thought I needed AWD, but ended up with FWD after realizing that good winter tires matter more, I don’t do extreme snow driving, the lower mileage mattered more to me.

I also compared:

Qashqai

newer 2023 Rogues

hybrids like the Niro

In the end, the low mileage + simpler 2.5L engine on the 2021 won me over.

This was actually the first dealership I visited.

I basically went: “Veni, vidi, vici.”

Except instead of conquering Gaul, I bought a Nissan Rogue.

Hopefully I made the right choice 😅

Any advice from long-term 2021 owners? Especially:

maintenance tips, CVT care, winter tire recommendations, accessories/mods worth buying?

I am also looking for recommendations for leather seat covers and floor mats. I have a messy preschooler and need to keep my car clean!

How do I remove whatever this is off the instrument clear panel?

Just bought this car and the dealership Sid they’d take care of this but they still haven’t called. I’ve tried wiping it off with alcohol and water solution. I’ve used a residue wipe and it still won’t come off. Idk if it’s amoral or what but it will NOT come off. Anyone know how to buff this out?

Unable to identify whining noise - 2019 Nissan Rogue SL

Picked this up from a dealership Friday and it’s been making this whining noise as I drive. The noise wasn’t present in my test drive.

The noise sounds like it’s coming from the back of the rogue.
It’s random and I don’t know how to recreate it. Normally it doesn’t last more than a second or two. But I’ve had it go for a minute straight once. I called the dealership and someone from the service shop did a ride along and couldn’t identify the noise. The person then said he didn’t think it affected safety and there was nothing he could do since he didn’t know what was causing it. I thought it might be a sensor malfunctioning or a camera trying to focus since it has a bunch. Just not sure.

Any thoughts?

Is This Nissan Rogue Deal a Genius Loophole or a Future Headache?

Found a weird 2026 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek AWD deal and wanted opinions.

Vehicle has only ~50 miles and dealer is selling it for $28,999 even though MSRP/window sticker is around $36.6k.

Dealer explained that their owner also owns a Nissan dealership, and they internally titled the vehicle to hit Nissan volume incentives. So technically it’s “used/pre-owned,” but according to them no retail customer has ever owned it.

They also said:
- still has factory warranty remaining
- Nissan certified
- basically brand new condition

Because it’s technically already titled, I can’t get Nissan’s 0% APR offer.

Main questions:

  1. What would I actually MISS compared to buying a truly brand new Nissan?
  2. Would resale value later be affected because it already has a titled owner?
  3. I keep hearing about Nissan Security+Plus Gold / premium extended warranties (some people mention up to 8 years / 120k miles). Are those worth getting on newer Rogues, and can those usually be added later after purchase or only during purchase?

Trying to understand if this is genuinely a smart loophole deal or if there’s some catch I’m missing.

Changing CVT fluid

I’m getting ready to change the CVT fluid on my 2018 SL. After watching a couple videos on YouTube they say to add 3 qts. then drain it and add another 3 qts. Then repeat once more. I’ve read on here that you should change the filters and wipe the magnets clean. If I change the filters and clean the magnets do I still have to do the 3 qt. exchange 3 times?

Nissan Rogue Rock creek VS Dark armor

I’m torn between the 2026 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek and the Dark Armor edition, and I genuinely can’t decide which one fits me better.

What makes this hard is that I honestly love both styles for different reasons. The Rock Creek really stands out to me because the red accents match my current Nissan Sentra SR, I like the badging, the seats seem a bit nicer to me, and I love that it comes with the off-road camera views and all-season tires from the factory.

On the other hand, the Dark Armor has the moonroof, which I really like, and overall I think it looks cleaner and a little more premium in a different way.

Another thing I’m worried about is gas mileage. From what I understand, the Rock Creek gets slightly worse MPG because of the tires and roof rails. I’d probably remove the roof rails eventually, but I still wonder how noticeable the MPG difference actually is in real-world driving.

One thing I should mention: I do actually want to do some light off-roading/trail driving. Nothing hardcore like what a Pathfinder or some Subarus are built for, but definitely more than just pavement. That’s another reason the Rock Creek appeals to me.

The problem is that I also understand the Rock Creek and Dark Armor are basically the same vehicle mechanically and feature-wise overall, which honestly makes this decision even harder.

My biggest dilemma is that cosmetic stuff can always be changed later - wheels, tires, roof rails, appearance parts, etc. - but the software/features probably can’t. The Rock Creek’s camera system and off-road views are a huge selling point to me, and I don’t know if that’s something that could realistically be added later to a Dark Armor.

So for anyone familiar with these trims: could you realistically “build” a Dark Armor into something close to a Rock Creek later on, or are those features too integrated from the factory?

I know some things probably can’t really be swapped easily, like the moonroof or hill descent control, but I’m trying to avoid buying one and regretting not getting the other.

Would love opinions from owners, Nissan techs, or anyone else cross-shopping these trims. Thanks!

Nissan quoting me at $1345🥹

I backed out my garage without it fully opening and the plastic antenna came off. The electronics looked fine, but Nissan is quoting me 1345 to replace the whole unit for my 25 Rogue.

I will get a quote from a local mechanic, but 1345 is a lot. I covered it with tape for now (terrible job btw) so the electronics don’t get wet.

Online it says the antenna is for radio and gps, so I think that I don’t have any urgeny to replace asap. Lesson learned, not sure what to do….

Does anyone have any suggestions🥲🥲

Update: Local mechanic quoting similar, 1371..

25 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek vs 25 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid

I recently was in an accident in my 2018 Jeep renegade and it was totaled. I’m looking for a replacement SUV for that. I work from home 4 days a week and only put about 10k miles on my car each year.

With gas prices being what they are I am focused getting better mpg in my next car. I also have two small children so the backseat is important to be large than the renegade was.

Im reading so many mixed reviews for the Nissan 3cyl that it has me worried to buy one. However I love the look Rock Creek rogue better out of the two but that’s just looks. I’m also seen a lot of people saying it has no passing power which concerns me, I don’t drive like a race car driver or anything, but I don’t want to feel my new car struggling to keep up.

The Mazda looks super clean which I really like, I love the idea of a Toyota hybrid drive train and would be driving mostly city so I should get pretty great gas mileage. However I have heard a ton of grips about the aging infotainment system and the knob they use to control it.

Both are used the Rogue RC was a lease and has 7k miles for $28k

The Mazda CX-50 has 17k miles for $31k

Thanks for your help in advance.

Are Nissan rogues still unreliable?

Seems like the CVT issues killed Nissans reputation, idk how the new ones are but i know 2013-2019 had major failures

2023 Rogue mystery leak

Watery leak coming from this marked place. Doesn’t seem to be oily. Is this just condensation or this section of the car part of the transmission?
Dealer did some transmission fluid (scheduled maintenance) flush recently like a month ago but not sure that’s related.

Took it to the dealer to follow up and they “found the leak” but what they found wasn’t in this area.
I need to hold them accountable but wasn’t sure what this section of the car does.

Cabin air filter.

Is it safe to replace the cabin air filter myself, without voiding the warranty? It seems pretty straightforward process. If yes, then what interval should I follow to change the filter? I bought my 2025 Nissan Rogue in Dec 2025 Brand new.

Trade-in value - 2017 Rogue SV

I couldn't believe it when an official dealer of top-tier Japanese brand offered me $1,500 for a 2017 Rogue SV with 230,000 kms as a trade-in. I understand the value is low with mileage and CVT paranoia, but THAT low? My Rogue drives well, no issues, no CVT jitter or lagging even at this mileage.

Are the used cars no longer valued as donors for other parts?

Or is it just a low-balling tactics?

I'm genuinely looking for some real-life insight to what is the value of our older used cars these days.

Has anyone ever experienced their Rogue's sunroof drain lines getting clogged? I took it into a dealership and was quoted a stupid high price to clear the clog. Hoping for a home remedy.

Picked up a 2023 Nissan rogue a week ago and just AC doesn’t blow cold air, one of the seat belts don’t roll back in? Don’t they check these things when the dealer sells the used car?
