2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum

2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum

Hello,

I'm closing in on purchasing a Nissan Rogue Platinum for a little under $25,000 with 27k miles. All dealership maintained from the car fax as well. I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews from people to saying the CVT is bad to others saying as long as you maintain the car there are no issues at all. Just wanted to get some advice on what to expect.

Thank you!

Work Boots

I’m about to become a first yr apprentice for my local IBEW, what are good work boots to begin with? I’ve had some suggestions to get a pair of Red Wing 501s but curious to see what else is out there.

Thank you.

332 Apprentiship

Hello,

I placed top 10 in the waitlist a couple weeks ago for Local 332. Has anyone heard if they’re planning to take any more apprentices this year? I heard they’re planning to take another class in December the earliest. But that’s about it as of right now.

Thanks in advance.

Work Outlook for 332

I applied in March of this year for the inside wireman apprenticeship and passed the test in May. Already have my interview coming up even though they said it would take 2-3 months. Does this mean they are picking up more work since it feels like this process is moving faster?

Mission Accomplished!

Man, it’s been a couple years coming, just a little background I’m currently 23 years old and just surpassed 100k. I’m not going to sit here and say I did it all by myself but a majority of my gains have been made through hard work and consistency.

I was blessed by my family at 20 years old as I was gifted $20,000 worth of Apple stock. From there I didn’t really know what to do with it besides constantly being sold to not sell it. With minimal knowledge about stocks (losing money during the AMC and GME frenzy during COVID) I was motivated to learn how to stock market could be used as a tool.

Starting with books such as “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” it taught me the basic knowledge of what investing could do for me. From there I went down the rabbit hole in the world of investing and my first big investment that really catapulted my growth was NVIDIA. Entering around $453 (pre-split) and depositing my whole savings at the time of $4,000 that has become a 4 bagger with a gain of roughly $17,000 to date.

Another big investment I made was FXAIX DCA’ing, ended up investing around $6,000 total and then profiting $4,000 from this. There was only one big problem all of this money was put into my individual account because I had no idea what a Roth IRA was! So I opened one.

From this, I decided to invest in the powerhouses. Through many investments, I’ve ended up today with WDC and GOOGLE. A recent move I made was selling my FXAIX and reallocating this into my ROTH to not only max out the contributions for the year but also invest heavily into WDC as I have been buying since it was at $300.

My investment strategies are probably very unorthodox to the average investor, but this is just something that has worked for me on the journey from let’s say $20,000 to $100,000 today. I’m in this position because of the sacrifices I made before. I quickly realized, not everyone was able to be in the same situation as me (living at home, going to school, & working at home). As well as the support of my family (which won’t go unnoticed). So I went to work and threw all my paychecks into stocks hoping one day it would pay off. I know my journey has just begun, but I am extremely thankful for realizing the power of investing from a young age and taking advantage of every situation.

Current Portfolio: ~ roughly

APPLE ~ $40000
NVIDIA ~ $22000
WDC ~ $20000
GOOGLE ~ $4500
FXAIX ~ $3200
WORK RETIREMENT ~ $11000
