This album came at the right time for me
Like some, I was in the "it's okay, not my fav" category when it released last week - then I had a pretty shitty & emotional day a few days ago, and the album clicked. Carry On played when I needed it most, and all of the other songs really started to find their way into my heartstrings. Still a few I'm iffy on though.
Not to be too sappy and tmi, but I've been battling a pretty severe depressive episode for almost a year now, and while other albums have helped me through it (particularly Tsunami Sea, shoutout SB), this one really struck a nerve for me.
So thanks, Periphery. You guys have yet again found a way to be one of the most important bands in my life. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go cry to the title track.
