House to House for Heroes veterans outreach effort - Holbrook, MA
The Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office, and the Town of Holbrook, in partnership with Holbrook’s Veteran Service Office, will host its first veterans-focused “House to House for Heroes” outreach event of 2026 on Saturday, June 6th.
This community-driven initiative brings volunteers directly into neighborhoods to connect with local veterans to deliver essential information about the many benefits, services, and resources available to them.
The outreach event will begin at 9:30 a.m. on June 6^(th) with a kickoff ceremony at the Public Safety Complex, located at 2015 Washington Street in Braintree, near the Holbrook line. From there, volunteers will be organized and assigned homes to conduct their door-to-door outreach of veterans throughout Holbrook.
“House to House for Heroes is a meaningful way to recognize and support the veterans in our communities,” said Sheriff McDermott. “This simple effort allows us to connect directly with those who have served to make sure they are aware of the benefits and resources they have earned and deserve.”
Volunteers will distribute informational packets that include guidance on accessing veterans’ benefits, healthcare services, housing and employment resources, and contact information for veteran-focused organizations.
Previous successful House to House for Heroes outreach efforts have been hosted by the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office in Canton, Foxborough, Stoughton, Walpole, Norfolk, Weymouth, Braintree and Quincy.
Volunteers from all surrounding cities and towns are welcome and encouraged to participate. No advance registration is required.
Volunteers are asked to arrive by 9:30 a.m. at the Public Safety Complex.
