Anybody else enjoy reps more because you don’t have to baby them?

My gens honestly stress me out sometimes. Scratches, theft, insurance, constantly being careful… it can take some of the fun out of wearing them.

Meanwhile my Omega Seamaster rep has basically become my everyday watch.

Don’t get me wrong, gens are special in their own way. But there’s something really freeing about throwing on a good rep and just enjoying the hobby without the anxiety.

Anyone else feel the same, or am I the only one who reaches for reps more than gens these days?

Do you guys tell people your watch is a rep or just keep it moving?

Genuine question because I’ve seen every type of answer on here.

Personally, if another watch person asks me directly, I’ll usually just say it’s a rep. Most normal people don’t care anyway. But I also don’t walk around announcing it either.

What’s your approach?

Open about it? Only tell close friends? Never say anything unless asked?

Recently I’ve totally fallen for the Cartier Baignoire.

That soft oval shape, slim profile and timeless gold styling hit different, especially for us with smaller wrists. The whole design is so delicate, clean and effortlessly elegant.

Curious to ask the community — which Cartier model is your personal favorite? Any underrated picks I should know about?
