Standard Processing - US Citizen

Biometrics - Aug 7

Approved Email - Aug 19

I have loved ones in the uk that I have planned to visit Aug 17. US citizen, have my student visa app still pending to u of Leeds masters program. Since I’m a non visa national, can I enter on my ETA and then leave the country to France (as an example) and re-enter once my student visa is approved?

Has anyone done this before? I want to make sure my student visa application won’t be cancelled if I do this.
