FAQs and Normal Discussion

I paid my fees today and excited to be joining the uni.

  • Any GC/Discord/WhatsApp groups for incoming freshers?
  • How’s hostel life and overall student environment?
  • How’s the campus vibe and social life?
  • How flexible is changing majors/courses later on?
  • Any tips/things you wish you knew before joining?
  • Best clubs or communities to join in first year?
  • Looking forward to meeting new people here!

Also any IBDP students/international board students / international students joining AU?

Got Acceptance, asked for Financial Aid

Got my acceptance to Amrut Mody School of Management (BSc Management) this morning — now navigating scholarship/financial aid before the May 22 deadline. Need advice.

So I just received my acceptance letter today and I'm genuinely excited, but there's a catch — I need to confirm my seat (yes/no) by May 22, and saying yes means paying the first-semester fees upfront.

The thing is, financial aid or scholarships were never discussed during my application process. Since the deadline is so close, I called the university to ask about it. The person I spoke to seemed pretty annoyed and unhelpful — he took down my application number and just told me to email the AU scholarship department.

Now I'm second-guessing myself. Did I make a mistake by asking? Part of me feels like they admitted me assuming I'd pay full fees, and now that I've brought up financial aid, it might work against me somehow — like they could rescind the offer or deprioritize me.

Is this a normal process? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Am I overthinking this, or is there actually something to worry about here?

Am i cooked?

Hello everyone,

Graduated IBDP with 29/45 - M25 batch. My subjects were HL : Bio (4) , Chem (3) , Business Management (5) ; SL: Maths AA (5), Hindi B (6), English Lang & Lit (4). Is it possible for me to get in? My counsellor says I can. I have taken a gap year too. For now, my VPD is in process...

I want to know more about my chances and stuff because I feel I can't get in but I am just believing in my counsellor..... What are y'all's thoughts?
