I’m currently looking for Data Analyst / aspiring Data Analyst professionals in Kochi, Kerala who are also trying to enter the industry.

I’m currently unemployed and actively looking for my first opportunity in the data analytics field. I have been building my skills in Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, data visualization and statistics, and I’m looking to connect with others on the same journey.

I thought it would be useful to create a small network where we can:

- Share Data Analyst job openings in Kochi/Kerala

- Refer each other when possible

I’m 26 years old, B.Com Computer Applications graduate and currently pursuing MCA. I’ve completed a 6-month Data Analytics and Data Science course and got certified. I’ve learned Python, SQL, Excel, Pandas, NumPy, Statistics, Power BI, Tableau, basic Machine Learning and other data analytics concepts. I’ve also completed around 5 projects related to data analytics/data science. I’m currently trying to get an internship or entry-level Data Analyst job, but I’m not getting many opportunities and most of the jobs I find either ask for experience or have requirements I don’t meet. My long-term goal is to move into Data Science, but I’m not sure what I should focus on right now. Should I continue applying for Data Analyst jobs, look for internships, build more projects, improve my existing skills, or consider other entry-level roles that can help me move into data later? I would really appreciate some honest advice from people working in Data Analytics or Data Science about what you would do if you were in my situation and what I should focus on for the next 6–12 months.
