[India] Need Honest Advice About UGC Nomination Chances for Stipendium Hungaricum (NIOS + Additional Science Subjects)
I originally completed 12th in Commerce in India, but now I want to pursue a BSc Pilot course, so I need Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.
My plan is:
- Keep my existing Commerce subjects/marks
- Take 4 additional science subjects through NIOS (Physics, Maths, Chemistry, etc.)
- Use both my original marks and additional NIOS science subjects for eligibility
I want to know realistically:
- For Indian UGC nomination, how important is Class 12 percentage compared to:
- motivation letter,
- interview,
- SOP,
- profile, etc.?
If someone has around 90%+ overall, is that considered competitive for nomination from India?
Does UGC treat NIOS additional subjects differently from CBSE/State Board?
Has anyone from India received Stipendium Hungaricum nomination with:
- NIOS,
- additional subjects,
- or mixed boards?
Since I originally studied Commerce and later added science subjects, will that negatively affect my chances for aviation/aeronautical programs?
Realistically, what percentage is usually considered “safe” for Indian applicants applying to competitive technical programs under Stipendium Hungaricum?
I’d really appreciate answers from Indian applicants or people who went through UGC nomination before. Thanks.
