Hey all, I just joined mostly to see what everyone thinks he is. Is he more English or American? Mixed maybe? He’s about 4 or so months old in this photo. He’s super curly and his back has super straight hair or kinda wavy. I can add more photos if needed
Okay so this is a long story and it’s the reason this stupid debt can’t be resolved and I need advice on how to get rid of it without paying it.
I previously lived with my now ex bf at an apartment complex in Az. I moved out before him but was still on the lease. He was set to fully move out by September 30th 2025. Hired movers, and gave the key back by September 30th. All rent paid on time.
Well we didn’t hear anything from them and figured all was well, until I got a call from a collection agency stating I had a debt with them, they were trying to charge us a lease break fee, before we moved out we verified there was indeed no lease break fee if we moved out sooner. On top of that they were charging us for a months rent, octobers rent… the month we weren’t living there the month AFTER the keys were returned.
They sent out a revised account statement after talking to them and I believe took off the lease break fee and only charged us for the rent. Now where’s the fun part. On the final account statement, it says we moved out on October first, now if that were the case, they would charge per deim (can’t spell) rent. They charged full. I disputed the statement and they kept it the same for just rent. Now I called the complex, because my ex was supposed to get an email stating the keys were sent in when they signed, they never sent that email. They also are owned by a new management company now so they don’t have our information anymore. I have no idea what to do bc our paper trail is short for when we moved out. We have statements showing up until September was paid, but nothing really proving keys were sent in on September 30th. Any information on how to get this taken off would be amazing.
