So now that the series ended, where would you decide it to pretend it ended?

Don't get me wrong, I've loved Outlander sooo much and it's a strange feeling that it's now ended. Where many people lost interest many seasons ago, I was always happy that there was more to come.

That being said, a lot of people aren't happy with the way season 8 turned out. And I also felt that some of the later seasons didn't resonate with me the way the earlier ones did. Although I'm very happy that there was so much more of Jamie and Claire to watch, and I love so many of the characters, my favourite season will always be the first.

I've watched all of Outlander with my best friend, and she mentioned she was going to mentally pretend the series ended somewhere else. So we were trying to decide what point in the series would be a beautiful ending, with room to imagine a happy ending but it also being believable and feeling like there is enough closure.

I thought the moment Claire gets back to Jamie, in the printshop, feels like a good ending of the series. They are back together and I can imagine them getting old happily.

(not that I'd ever actually be able to stop watching there, way too much of them and other amazing characters like Fergus and Marsali and Ian that I don't want to miss lol)
