Mythic Trap
I quit this game about a year ago and got back into it because one of my friends wanted me to play with him, I was a consistent legendary player and so was that friend before he quit as well. We got back into the game and have been running ranked recently, and got to mythic fairly quickly as we used to. Once we got to 1 game off legendary on an almost lossless push we got one of those randoms that sits afk the whole game and obviously lost. After that we went on a loss streak down to bottom m2 for me and top m1 for him, then climbed back up, only to get hit with another afk. We usually play for around an hour a day, and this pattern of climb to 1 or 2 games off legendary, get an unwinnable game, then tilt or just get other unwinnables has happened so many times I've started a tally. I know its end of season right now and so obviously the game quality is going to be much lower, but is this an actual issue? I feel like the matchmaking is actively ruining my chances, I know how to draft, my friend does too but doesn't have many brawlers, we've tried running it with randoms we played with before that did well and get put against masters players for the unwinnable game right as we're there. Is this an issue that I just have to hope the people I'm playing against get struck by lightning cause matchmakings out for me or am I just buns? Is it an issue cause we're duo-queueing? I have notes of these games and we've gone up against 3stacks of masters players 3 times (have the same tag sk|xxx ggs|xxx etc u know the type) had afks 3 times, had the randoms misdraft horribly 5 times, and one/both of us have been the problem 4 times (since ive been keeping track). Even when we play separately it feels like I can climb right up to ~5900 without an issue, then get shafted somehow.
