From what we’ve seen from Colandrea so far: he can sling the football. He’s accurate when it counts. He has the legs to be able to scramble and make plays if needed. But most importantly, he has a high football IQ and knows when to throw the ball away (a problem that has plagued Husker QBs for years).
Raiola was slow, inaccurate with our receivers, and held on to the football too long behind our weak O-line. Casey Thompson was decent but still made mistakes. Taylor Martinez had a more explosive running ability but wasn’t as good of a passer or decision maker.
So who was the last Husker QB to match Colandrea overall? Joe Ganz?
