Paid off a credit card last week that i've been carrying a balance on for 5 years and there was a lot of tears

It started when i was 23 and in a bad financial situation (scammed, gambling, bad money habits) and i've been carrying it ever since. Made minimum payments for a long time, finally got serious about it two years ago and called for conversion, took on side hustles, and just paid it off last friday.

Called my mom because she knew the history of it and she actually cried a little bit which made me cry which was not what i expected but also it's not just a number on a screen. It was a burden for years that I had to carry with me not being to tell it to other family members and close friends and it was just horrible but now im free. Theres always hope.
