Help with new to me Chris King hubs

I caught a smoking deal on a carbon wheelset this weekend at a bike race.

Blue Hubs are what fits the bike, purple CK hubs have larger diameter plastic “end caps” that don’t fit within the cradles on the fork. Do I need to replace end caps on the new hubs?

Fork is an onlins rx36 coil. Thanks for any advice!

Jumped on Zwift and TR simultaneously about 4 months ago to train for my first 100mi race this summer. I’ve been enjoying the platform for workouts but thats almost the only way I ever interact with it.

Yesterday I had a ~ 2 hour easy TR workout on the schedule and decided a 47km zwift race would be more fun. Since I dont race on the platform, my race score was low 300s, and I joined the category with a max of something like 325.

Since it was going to be a longer race, starting pace was sensible. Of the 9 people entered, it seemed like the lead group was going to be me + 3 others. After 10-15 mins of riding at a pretty easy 150-160 watts, I decided to try out some attacks. I’d just ride at ~220 watts for 2-3 mins then rest up for a few mins at the relatively lax group pace. For the first 3-4 tries, everybody tagged along.

Then I decided to try to hold 250ish watts up a short climb and one guy dropped off the group, never to return.

With 3 of us left in the lead group, it seems like me and 1 other guy were determined to pretty much never take the front spot in the group. So a dude in a yellow jersey (on a 10 million drop fancy bike) ate the wind for most of the rest of the race.

Another 250-300watt effort up a longer climb and we dropped the third dude. Just me and yellow jersey left with 18k to go.

I intentionally stayed on his wheel 90% of the time, but would occasionally attack up to 450ish watts for a very short time just enough to make him do it too, and then as soon as he would catch me, I’d let off and draft. I did this 3-4 times to try to grind him down. Then he laid down a pretty mild attack, maybe 225 watts for 2 mins which I easily covered and as soon as he settled back into typical race pace, I put the screws to him and attacked at 250-300 watts for a couple of minutes and never saw him again for the last ~ 7k of the race. But every time I saw his power spike on the list, I’d spike mine as much or more. I ended up beating him by a minute.

This is obviously such a small unimpressive victory in the grand scheme of things but it was SO MUCH FUN. Highly recommend zwift racing if you haven’t tried it.

Ride on.
