Loewe Amazona Small Azur PSP

Hey ladies!!

After a long excruciating 3 weeks of waiting, I finally received my PSPs from Bao Bao for the Loewe Amazona 180 Small in Royal Azur from Jipin factory.

Item: Loewe Amazona 180 Small in Royal Azur

Price: $191.20 USD + $45 ship

Factory: Jipin

I have been lurking ever since the release of the Amazona and getting super jealous of everyone receiving theirs already! But now the time has come, and there might be a reason why I have waited so long.

I originally contacted Laomao the day of the flash sale for the new Amazonas but he did not have the blue factory photos. I told him I would wait to put in an order once he did have factory photos of the blue, but that never happened.

I took a peek into Bao Bao's album and I did notice a blue Amazona, but whether it was factory photos or not, I am unsure. I went ahead and ordered with her and just gambled it.

Contacted and Ordered: April 21

PSPs received: May 11

Meanwhile, other people were getting their PSPs within 1 week of order, so why did mine take so long? Take a look at the last photo comparing an older PSP (Jipin from another post on this subreddit) to my PSP. Fonts look slightly different between the two PSP and the threading color matching is different. The authentic Amazona has an exact color match with the thread they use and the older PSP seems to use a lighter thread than the leather while the newer PSP is color matched exactly.

The only PSP I have found that color matched the thread exactly was OF Factory, but their prices were higher.

If these are the same factory, is this normal for a factory to make these changes so quickly in their production process?

Either way, I am super happy with the PSPs I have received and GL'd it.

I am having some issues with the Portrait 3 drifting while trying to read registration marks.

For all the troubleshooting I've done:

  • Checked printer settings: Printer is working as it should, registration marks printer are measuring exactly as it is programmed.

  • Checked registration settings in the software: no change from when it printed to when I start cutting.

  • Mat is aligned: Observing the mat as it scrolls show that the mat lines up with the marks on the printer all the way through.

The issue I have observed: The blade/ sensor is drifting towards the right as the mat moves through the cutter while it is trying to read the bottom-left registration mark.

When it scrolls back up to read the top-right registration mark, it completely misses the spot but accepts the registration anyway.

The odd part is, how much the sensor misses the registration marks is dependant on the type of media selected during the cutting settings. Plain paper vs photo paper vs white sticker have it drifting shorter or farther away.

I have turned the cutter on/off. Disconnected power, disconnected USB. Downgraded software to an older version. Nothing is working.

Any idea what is going on?
