Can someone explain to me why the move Dragon Darts is so popular on Dragapult? I'm using Dragapult on a gimmicky team, and a (situationally) 50 power spread move feels terrible to use and it sounds like it would be bad by concesus, but it's apparently not. Why not? Dragon Claw feels so much better for getting KOs.

Can anyone help improve my gimmicky team? It's based off the strategy of swaggering my own fast pokemon to get an attack boost and get KOs before my opponents even move. It also uses Sableye's prankster encore to punish opposing protects in response to my fake out threats. I managed to get to masterball rank with this team because it snowballs ridiculously in some games, but in others it can't compete at all. I don't have a very good time into many protective trick-room matchups despite having taunt Chandelure and my whole strategy falls apart when swagger misses or against pokemon with the ability unnerve like Aerodactyl.
Here's my export from showdown. My EV's don't have much reason. Just random splits I either copied or thought might be okay.
