CarPlay through glovebox port on 718?

Anybody get wired CarPlay to work through the glovebox port? Mine only has the 12v accessory plug in the center console. So I’m hoping someone had success through the software unlock.

2017 S, with almost 60k miles...

Am I wrong to not be worried about a 60k mile 718S? I figure if there were any cooling issues they must have been handled by now. Would this scare any of you? Dealership is asking $49,850.00 but I am sure I can get them down to 47-48. Any advice or tips would be appreciated.
