i caught 2 cd queens yest night

there wa sa nuptial flfith, sawmany queens and drones. i placed some drones and queens together, and saw the drone mate with the queen on 2nd pic. but then they fought or sumt like the 2 queens and drones fought cos i only had one container and thus queen in first pic lost a few legs. i found her with one wing left. the queen on 2nd pic shed her wings at night but didnt manage to shed the last one so she left it there. question, shld i pit some sand or isit fine? and what are those things on the cotton? isit poop or torn off cotton bits? thanks!
