Bunch of ants with wings running around everywhere. How to know if any are mated?

Essentially, I want to grab a couple of fertile queens, but I can’t tell who’s male or female or who’s even found a partner yet. There is at least 50 to 100 of them all running around right now. Do I just grab a bunch and see how it goes?

First DIY usable ant nest!

Not my first DIY nest, but it is my first DIY nest that isn't absolutely atrocious, what are your thoughts on this nest?

Most humane way to kill feeder insects?

I normally freeze them, but I am thinking about alternate methods. What do you think? The main other method I have heard of is the boiling water method.

Hungry hungry camponotus

Looking for any ideas for more efficient feeding - these guys clear out the raw honey I give them overnight.

Anyone could share their feeding setups? Especially for leaving large colonies unattended when traveling etc.

Most Overpriced Ant

What is a species of ant that is common and cheap where you live but very expensive where its non native. And how much does the ant cost where you live and abroad.

Ants digging?

Can I ask if you think my Lasius Niger colony is starting to dig in my little formicarium?

The colony is 3 years old and have several test tubes for them to expand. Have noticed this this morning when cleaning the outside and I've never seen it before. The way the sand looks on top appears to be as if they've been chucking it over there.

I hope they're not digging and about to move Andie as once it came to hibernation I was going to put them in a seperate box and "renovate" to formicarium with ytong.

What are these guys doing? Eating larva or spinning cocoon?

Haven't observed any ants eating eggs or larva but don't know what's going on

Myrmecocystus Navajo (I think) and Mexicanus!

I believe the first pic is m. Navajo based on her size, and im assuming the other one is Mexicanus since shes larger. Found the Navajo first, Mexicanus just a couple days ago. After a few weeks, the first queen already has cocoons and a nice larvae pile. Any advice for the next steps is welcome, I'm eventually going to move them into a mini hearth.

My queen and her first workers

They are lasius Niger. They don’t seem to care too much about light? Im not bothering them too much, but it’s just something I’ve noticed. They don’t seem to care. I’m aware the set up is too big for their size, but they needed to be moved due to mould in the set up, it was a spice jar as that was all I had when I caught her. There’s two fruit flies in there I gave to them, and they’ve taken them into the nests with them?

New myrmecina graminicola queens, need help!

A few minutes ago I caught 5 of these ladies in a nuptial flight, they were already on the ground, still winged but not trying to fly, I can't find any guides on them anywhere and I would appreciate any help I can get, I've found an article saying that they hibernate at 15°c but the rest of the tips were for myrmica, since I'm in the UK I'd assume they hibernate like lasius niger and other UK species?

Viable nest?

No, I do not plan on buying this nest, but the concept of it is interesting: outworld, nest, nest hydration, and water tower. China nests have stepped up their game.
