Hotel in key west with badly secured turtle pond.
Picture 1 and 2 are pics of the pond and number 3 and 4 are two escapees i found a few feet away from the pond. I returned them and a hotel employee thanked me and said they escaped a few times a day. I told him to up their security because cooters and sliders can climb well. The rest are just random images of the turtles. The pond had red eared sliders, southern cooters and diamondback terrapins.
Terrapin suggestions for my pond?
First is a picture of my pond and second is its dimensions. Im in Switzerland so sliders and cooters are illegal. Only suggest turtles that are not so good at swimming because there are common and comet goldfish and rainbow shiners and I don’t want them to be eaten. I don’t really care about fin nipping as long as it isn’t lethal. If possible also tell me if i can pair turtle species and if yes which ones. Note that whatever species ill pick i will get all female to prevent aggression and since females are nearly always larger base answers on female size to prevent space problems. The turtles need to be hibernating species that i can hibernate in a fridge or even better in the pond itself. I don’t have space for a winter tank.
Most funny positions i saw my cavie sleep in.
Heres a complication of the most akward and funny positions i ever saw my 7 month old cavie charlie sleep in.

Picture of ants under uv light
I was bored so i decided to put a red honey-water drop on my table and watch some of the ants fron the colony that inhabits my kitchen drink it. It looked pretty cool as their gasters expanded but then i got an even cooler idea: i used a uv setting on my camera to make a picture of the ants under uv light. It turned out that their exoskeletons reflect uv light. I thought it was very cool so i just wanted to share it. I also shared a normal macro picture as comparison.

Myrmecocystus semirufus advice
Hi im a beginner antkeeper. I already have a colony of lasius flavus. And now i started looking into honeypot ants. And i found that m.senirufus was in stock at esthetic ants. How easy are they to keep? How many weeks does founding last? Do they have high success rates? What kinds of supplies do they need?
Is this aggressive behavior or is it affection?
I was just doing random stuff and sitting on the floor when my 6 month old cavlier charlie suddenly lunged at my face and started biting my nose and ears. I tried pushing him away but he came back. Then he pounced me to the ground and started biting even more wile growling and wagging his tail. I then stood up and he started jumping up trying to reach my face. I ran away and he followed and started biting my foot when i sat down again. Did i upset him or is this a sign of affection?
Whats happening?
This eveolution should have been done hours ago but somehow if i click see result it always stops halfway through for no reason and says evolution incomplete.
Queen id found in oberägeri Switzerland.
Its a pretty funny story. I found her with wings in my pool yesterday so i took her inside. But when i opened my hands in my room she ran right off. I couldn’t find her so i threw wet toilet paper in every room to lyre het out. Then this morning i found her near the toilet paper clump in the bathroom. She had dropped her wings. I then caught her but she escaped again. I searched for hours and eventually found her behind my bed. I caught her again anf put her in a test tube. First She tryed to escape but now she calmed down. Any idea what species she is. She has pretty big mandibles too.
How much do prenolepis melanogaster repletes swell.
I’m love those extremely swollen looks of honeypots in the genus Myrmecocystus but i can’t find any in stock for a price below 400 swiss francs. I don’t like the look of false honeypots since its just a big ant to me. But then i learned that these guys swell more circular than common species like prenolepis nitens. Sadly i couldn’t find any images online so those with experience keeping them can you please tell me just how much like the actual honeypots they swell and add images of repletes if possible?
