It's insane to look at a fish that large and think "yeah this tank is big enough :)"
Edit: i just looked at the post again and looked at the other pictures, they're selling the tank empty so im now wondering if it was just a temporary tank(like the main one broke) or the tank crashed
I posted yesterday after seeing this monstrosity. Update is I picked then up and set up a 20 gallon quarantine tank.
I'll hold them until I'm confident they are healthy and then rehome to a pond or find space to keep them. And yes, I know what I am doing, I have lots of goldies, fancies and commons/shubunkins, they're at last in safe hands! They're so energetic today, doing laps of the temp tub, it must feel utterly bizarre to go from months of small circles to swimming speedily in a straight line, it was worth spending the money on liberating them.
They were both around or over $100 each. Why the hell would a local small business fish store advertise these builds? It's literally ridiculous. Both are betta fish, you can see the betta in the vase on the top left. Neither have filters or heaters :/
In the video, they take the fish (several guppies, a plant, and snails) and cup contents from the dirty cup on the left and put them in the clean cup on the right... And 208k likes...
This idea is genius FOR A TEMPORARY HOLDING PLACE for fish during maintenance, not a permanent home. Jeez!

Not the best photo, but the tank is 1212 or 1818 max. The fish is just swimming vertical like this, I assume because there is no room to move. Why would they not put this in one of their many other larger tanks.
Accompanied by the face that it literally says "2X LARGER THAN THE ORIGINAL EZCARE" made me so gut wrenchingly sick for all the poor Bettas that died in one of these half-wit contraptions. I genuinely don't understand why people think its okay to keep a FISH in something so small it literally can't even swim in a single circle if it wanted to.
