Maybe this is the "anticheat" we all needed, because if Asimo impleted a conventional anticheat, there is a good chance it will get bypassed/loopholed within a few weeks or months, and it will just turn into a race between the developers and cheaters to win over the other, which will cause a massive toll on the developers.
But now, the devs has made a genius decision of stripping away the main incentive to cheat, that is to make their main accounts rich. What cheaters used to do is they would farm on their alts to buy concepts (and for some advanced and less detected scripts, hyperchromes), and transfer to their main accounts. Most of the free scripts are extremely detectable, and will get banned within 7-10 days of exploiting, so the most you can get is a concept. And even the "less detected" scripts can only avoid a ban for 20 days.
And to the people who are saying "oh we cannot grind on our 100 alt accounts to get seasonal prize, and new players cannot rack up inventory v@lue without having atleast 50 copies of a seasonal", first of all, it's a small sacrifice we have to make. Just look at rocket league for example. It, despite being one of the biggest and popular game in the world, had a big cheater problem for a couple of years now. Very similar to jailbreak, there was a bot infestation, especially at SSL levels (the highest rank, only 0.05% of the playebase have that level). The bots would have impossible reaction time and do stuff that a human cannot do (like a flick that was perfect in every way, no human error). And even the best players of rocket league were simply losing to these bots, as they were humans, and the bots were unbeatable. So Rocket league made a controversial decision to end to all. A few days back, they implemented something called 'Easy Anti Cheat', which is a kernel level anticheat (for those who don't know, a kernel level program is a program that has more power than even the operating system, basically supreme power over the entire device). First of all, the massive powers a kernel based program has is always dangerous, and have proved to be in the past when the anticheat of another game (genshin impact) was exploited by hackers, which lead to the destruction of full PCs of players whom the hackers targeted. And secondly, it put an end to one of the most beloved community based feature, mods. Mods were user by almost all players of rl, but they weren't mods in the traditional sense as in cheating, but mods made by the community (like bakkesmod) which had all the features a community wanted, and anything new could be added. Especially since Epic Games is not the best at listening to the community, the mods gave them to play with features they wanted. And also, bakkesmod gave birth to an entirely new sub-genre inside of rocket league, custom maps. You could create custom maps with new mechanics, strategies etc and play with your friends easily. You could even construct specific training maps for yourself this way. But when rocket league announced that the implementation of the new anti cheat would mean the death of mods, the community didn't retaliate, because they understood that stopping the cheaters were more important. Rocket league players did not drop after the update, it increased, because everyone was happy the cheaters were finally gone, even tho the problem didn't affect 50% of the playerbase who were lower levels.
I know this post has become unnecessarily long due to my tangent about rocket league, but i felt liked I had to mention it because it's a very similar problem they had (bots ruining the games of regular players), and what they did to solve it. If you just want to read the main contents of the post, and don't want to read the rocket league part, just read the 1st and 2nd paragraph, as it conveys the point I wanted to make with this post
Edit:- Apparently you can create/verify multiple accounts with the same number, so the issue of alt account grinding is solved. Rest assured dear sweats, you can still grind the seasonal reward on 100 accounts with just one phone number.
