My eight pound chihuahua ate chocolate an hour ago and I can't pay $70 to the hotline -- Please just tell me if I should try to make her vomit or just wait and see.

They were two dark chocolates with peanut butter. She shows no symptoms, neurological or otherwise, and she's a young, fairly healthy dog with a nervous stomach and a bad back. Both the local vets and pet emergency rooms are all closed until Monday, [I didn't have enough in my bank account to pay any consultation fees at the time of posting], and I have a full day before I can so much as get to the bank. Can someone please just tell me if I should try to make her throw up or if I should just wait and pray that she'll be okay?

(Also, why do things like this always happen on weekends)

Edit: I finally got in touch with someone at a veterinary university/clinic and they told me that my little problem rat should be fine after a spell of vomiting and diarrhea, but I need to keep an eye out for things like aggression, seizures, and other signs of neurological issues, in which case I need to get her to a veterinary emergency room. I absolutely will -- I'm 1000% willing to drive three hours and go into debt to save this dog. I just have $20 in my bank account rn and literally cannot pay for a consultation atm.

Also, some people pointed out in other subs and I want to say here too -- Toxicologists and vets deserve to be paid for their work. I was just really frustrated and freaked out after trying to find literally any source of information I could trust and afford at two in the morning while hearing about neurological effects and possible death.

Edit 2: Someone made me aware of some really painful statistics regarding veterinarians in a Discord group I'm part of, so I wanted to edit this to remove some phrasing that (rightfully so) struck a nerve in some people. Vets do important, kind work for not a lot of money, and I can't count the amount of times a veterinarian has been the difference for me between months of mourning and a beloved animal wearing a cone for a few days. Y'all do important work and I'm sorry I ever implied otherwise, intentionally or not. God bless you.

I took a hefty pay cut last year (getting a new job very soon) and wound up being below the minimum income my state requires people to file taxes for, and so my father told me not to bother. Am I still going to get a refund, and should I avoid doing this again if I'm in the same position in the future?
