I was just wondering this. With him having just had a huge OHL year, he’s probably maxed out at the junior level. Would be nice if he jumped to NCAA, but it seems like the options are 1) back to the OHL where he might learn bad habits and have a little slower development (due to the lack of a real learning curve for him) or 2) the AHL or 3) going into camp trying to win a job with the Kraken.

What does everyone else think? Seems like he’s a long way away from #3 so #2 seems like the right choice.

The Kraken have often sat out on some of the biggest trades of the past few years, yet this seems like the only real way they are going to get an infusion of immediate star-level (or star adjacent) talent. As Kraken fans, we spent years hearing about the Kyrou rumors and then he is dealt elsewhere. So I am asking someone with a great handle on the league and also maybe just some general discussion - could the Kraken have reasonably met the prices for Byram, Kyrou, Ekland, etc? And what would an equivalent Kraken package look like? I know Tkachuk deal was not an open market deal, so probably not relevant to discuss here.
