There is a post at r/hockey that shows a map of every state’s most hated team. So now I’m curious Kraken fans. Which team do you hate more?
Hello! I’m new here and I know this is a ridiculous ask, but I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me get into the Kraken equipment sale. I am not a KHL member, STH member, or a reseller. I literally just need a need helmet and gloves for stick and puck. Anything helps, thank you!
In back-to-back stories this week, Seattle Kraken optimists and pessimists both get a reason to reinforce their opinion. A cadre of maturing youngsters is the good news.
SUNDAY MAY 31, 2026
KRAKEN COMMUNITY ICEPLEX
10601 5TH AVE NE, SEATTLE, WA 98125
12:00p - 1:30p - Exclusive access for Season Ticket Members and Kraken Hockey League.
1:30p - 4:30p - Open to General Public
With Montreal beating Buffalo, the Tampa Bay pick, owned by Seattle, will improve 1 spot to the 25th overall.
From this, I say try to resign McMann, Tolvanen and Melanson.
I think Dunn at 9AAV is high… I would be shocked if McCann stayed but at 7.67AAV…
Wright, I’m not sure what to even consider with him tbh.
Good breakdown of how many pieces we're missing to be a real contender. Spoiler alert: It's a lot.
Gift article, so you should be able to read it.
We fly down from Alaska a couple times a year to watch games. Been sitting in the lower bowl. Crowd is pretty quiet and seem more interested in getting on the jumbo tron with their blue wigs then really watching the game. It's a far cry from the experiences I've had in other stadiums. I've talked with a lot of out of town fans in a couple of the bars before games- they seem knowledgeable and passionate but I have yet to find that in the stadium. Is there a section of more "energized" fans?
Both of our affiliate teams making moves this year! The Kansas City Mavericks (Seattle Kraken ECHL affiliate) swept the Allen Americans and for the second year in a row became the Mountain Division champs! They now move onto the Western Conference finals, and hopefully the Kelly Cup finals after!
At the end of the 2025-2026 Kraken season there was a lot of swapping and borrowing between Kraken, Firebirds, and Mavericks some of the ECHL players got some AHL time - it's great to see it all come together for our lower leagues.
It's my first year trying to watch the IIHF, do you guys know if/where it'll be streamed? I have ESPN, I'm hoping there. I also have HBO for the TnT games, but I'd love to not have to pay for sling/Fubo/etc, because that's so annoying
Amazing to see how high the Wild rank all time in winning % and also how low some iconic franchises rank (Hawks, Kings, Rangers, Leafs for instance).
This being said it’s hard to completely chalk this up to bad luck. The Wild rarely if never have had a Stanley cup caliber team. The team hovers between mediocre to slightly above average every year without bottoming out like some of these franchises.
And it makes you wonder if the team just wants to be relevant every year for ticket sales and owner ego or if it isn’t capable of building an elite team in playoffs. It’s not hard to see some bad teams like the Sharks building their pieces now to make a run down the road.
One last thing but newer expansion teams may benefit from how OT losses are handled so that may be boosting the Wild a tad. But point remains, always relevant, never bad. Also rarely great either.
Edit: by winning %, the data is points %.
So here's an interesting divergence of philosophies. The Seattle Kraken downsize from one Hall of Fame President of Hockey Operations (Ron Francis) to none. The Vancouver Canucks go from one to two Hall of Fame Co-Presidents (the Sedins). We'll see which structure works better, or if either one does.
Probably being overly hopeful but this feels like a good sign for Bobby staying in Seattle??
His girlfriend also posted about living in Seattle yesterday, so either they’re saying “bye” to Seattle or they’re loving it here and wanna stay in the PNW!
