I tried designing the Kraken as a geometric/Art Deco sports poster

I make original art and have been experimenting with making sports themes into geometric artwork.
I’ve tried mascots but here’s my take on the Kraken. I wanted to keep the feeling of the team without just reproducing the logo. So I focused on color, lots of angular forms, symmetry, and movement, with some Bauhaus/Art Deco influence.
Curious what Kraken fans think! Even if you hate it let me know why it sucks!

I did some Butkus and Williams art.

This is my original art piece of Bears great Dick Butkus (just finished) and Iceman (finished a month ago).
Since it’s in the style of Bauhaus I’m thinking of calling the Butkus piece Dick Butthaus.
Love to hear your thoughts on the art and any ideas on a good name.

I did a Bauhaus Butkus piece.

A while back I shared my Iceman piece and I got a lot of great feedback from the community. Someone suggested I tackle (pun intended) the legendary Dick Butkus, so here’s my take. I wanted to capture his imposing presence so I used solid squares, while the circles and stripes reference his helmet and the classic Bears uniform. It’s art so not everyone is gonna like it but let me know what you think of my Butkus!

Hey y’all. Did a Gunnar Henderson piece.

I post my art on here from time to time and always appreciate the love I get from the O’s community. For those that know my art hello, for those that don’t, I’m influenced by Bauhaus, art deco, cubism etc and make geometric art. I love sports as a them because of the way I can show movement. I love to hear what the community thinks of my pieces. There is a little detail in there that I wonder if you can make out!

I did a geometric art piece on Brett Favre. No AI just my art.

Since he was such an icon as a player I figured I’d make him the inspiration for some art. I love art deco and Bauhaus which maybe shows in my style. I leant heavily into the cheese aspect so forgive the customized cheesy uni! Anyway I hope some of you like the style and my take. Let me know what you think.

Jalen Two Shoes art piece.

I did a kind of tribute piece to Jalen Hurts mixing his Super Bowl MVP heroics with his mismatching shoes. I do a lot of Phillies art but this is my first Eagles piece. Whether you like it or hate it, let me know what you think of my style. No AI just playing with shapes and enjoying my two loves, art and sport.

Pablo Sanchez in game art.

Long story short. I’m a redditor/artist who through my weekly Reddit posts received the opportunity to work on a Pablo Sanchez design featured in the new Backyard Baseball game. For anyone who grew up playing the game let me know what you think of the piece I came up with!

Did a Jalen Brunson piece.

Last Knicks piece I did was a few years back when I did Carmelo. One before that was Patrick Ewing. Jalen Brunson eclipsed both of them so I really had to do a piece on him. Put in a nod to the Championship and his number to balance it out. Let me know what you think of the style!

So excited. I started planning this art piece a month ago. Knew common sense would prevail and Gavin McKenna would be the pick.

This is my original art, no AI. I’m influenced by Bauhaus, art deco…Let me know what you think of the style! Even if you hate it! Some of you might have seen my stuff before since I often post in the Jays sub. Anyway I’m all in on Gavin McKenna!

I did a piece based on Super John McGinn. My favourite immovable object on a football pitch.

I haven’t done much football art recently but McGinn gave me the inspiration that Messi, Mbappe and Maradona can’t. Let me know what you think of the art and the man.

I did some art based on the Iceman in that iconic pose.

I posted some Walter Payton art a number of years back. So it’s been a while. The art style is geometric, I like to be a little silly sometimes and I’m influenced by early 20th Century art styles. Would love to hear your thoughts on the piece.

I did a Southpaw piece.

I know Southpaw is a pitcher at heart but I had an idea for him swinging a white sock and did a little piece in my geometric style with him doing exactly that. I might have gone too far though. Let me know what you think of the idea, whether you like it or hate it!

I did a Clark piece.

I do art in a geometric style and some may remember my stuff since I last posted here with a PCA piece last year. I’ve done a lot of players so I figured it would be fun to do some mascots and I did this piece for the Cubs mascot. Threw in a few little details and flourishes but I won’t over-explain it. Always love to merge my two loves of baseball and art and connect with people! Let me know what you think of the art and how you would have approached it!

Just wanted to share some crab art.

I recently saw the Jeff Pearlman upload about the Crazy Crab and it couldn’t have come at a better time because I’m trying to illustrate all the interesting MLB mascots. The story of this one had me laughing so hard. Anyway let me know what you think of the art!

Cleveland Mascot illustrations.

These are three illustrations I did over the last few months of the Cleveland mascots and the Guardian statue. I figured I’d share here for the sake of discussion. I love the art deco Guardian statues after studying them closely for my art. Chief Wahoo has been consigned to history and in the art rather than being a nostalgia piece I tried to acknowledge his controversial legacy through symbolism. Then there’s Slider. Um he’s colorful! Let me know your thoughts on the art Cleveland and on the legacy of Chief Wahoo and the Guardian statues!

I did some Ace (Jays) art.

Hey Jays family. I haven’t posted since the World Series…but I’m trying to do a series of illustrations of sports mascots and here is what I came up with for Ace. I figured why not let him swing the CN Tower and overturn the Rogers Centre. Let me know what you think of the piece!

I did some (Mr Padre) Tony Gwynn art.

This is my third take on the legend that is Tony Gwynn. I tried to get in the relevant numbers and stylize that 80’s Padres helmet logo. Let me know what you think!

Did one more Cleveland Guardians piece I thought I’d share.

A few Cleveland fans asked me to do some art based on the Guardians statues. Here’s my drone take on the art deco stalwarts. As always let me know what you think!

Got this out just in time!

I did a piece on the almost great Len Barker as a tribute to his perfect game on this day in 1981. Are any of you old enough to remember it live? I just missed the boat. Anyway would love to hear your memories of it if you have any and as always let me know what you think of the art!
